PlayStation Plus October 2021 Free Games Surpassed by Shocking PS4 Reveal

Recent articles

PlayStation Plus is the star of the show most months and October offers a unique lineup for PS4 and PS5 gamers to enjoy.

Hell Let Loose may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but having a brand new PS5 game to play helps in two ways; it offers something unique and next-gen, and it also means PS4 gamers won’t miss a thing.

Meanwhile, PS4 gamers can download and play PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat X.

It’s not the strongest lineup of free games ever released by Sony, but there’s no doubt that it offers a spread of game genres to enjoy.

But October could well be the month when PlayStation Plus is surpassed by PS Now, which doesn’t happen often.

The streaming service PlayStation Now makes it possible to play first-party games and other games via your internet connection and makes hardware unnecessary.

It’s limited in the fidelity it can offer, and it’s also held back by the lack of PS5 games in its library.

However, it has hundreds of great PS4 games to play and new ones are added every month, just like PS Plus.

And a new rumor suggests Sony will be adding The Last of Us Part 2 to PlayStation Now in October.

Any leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, and the latest on the new PlayStation Now games arriving in October is no different. There have been plenty of times in the past when Sony has accidentally added things to online lists, and this latest revelation could turn out to be the same.

And with only a few days left until the new PS Now games go live, fans of the subscription service are looking for hints of what’s to come.

The latest has been spotted by eagle-eyed fans in the UK and seems to list The Last of Us Part 2 as coming to PlayStation Now. If this happens, it would be another massive game to be added to PS Now alongside titles like God of War and Detroit: Become Human.

It would also make it possible to play the entire Last of Us story for the first time using the PlayStation Now streaming service. And it’s not just Last of Us Part 2 getting paired, with Desperados III and Fallout 76 reportedly launching this month as well.

Neither game has sold more copies than Last of Us Part 2, but both would add some variety to what’s already available on Sony’s streaming platform and help replace the most recent PS4 games that have been removed.

This rumor may soon be disproved by Sony when it announces its new PlayStation Now games later this week.

The reveal could take place later today and would only take 24 hours for the new PS Plus free games to become available to claim.

So fans can expect a big update in the coming hours when the latest news is posted on official social media channels.
