Oculus services are not available today
An ongoing outage that has left Facebook and its massive social media platform offline is also causing problems in the world of Virtual Reality.
Oculus has confirmed that its core services have been hit hard by the server issues, preventing VR headset users from accessing their accounts.
The good news is that the company is aware of the issues and is working to fix them. The big downside is that there is no ETA when today’s issues will be resolved.
The latest message from Oculus reads: “We are aware that some people are having problems accessing our apps and products. We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience.”
From what has been shared so far, not only are gamers unable to access the Oculus app, but those who can will not be able to play installed apps.
Some even report having trouble finding their games, fearing they’re gone permanently.
While these may be temporary issues for gamers today, we won’t know more about the lasting effects until the Facebook servers are back online.
No ETA has been provided on the subject by Facebook, who posted this update earlier today regarding the current outage issues:
“We are aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience.”
