Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg denied on Tuesday that the social media giant promotes hatred and division in societies, harms children and therefore needs a regulator, noting that the allegations leveled against him by the company that prioritizes to financial gain over security are “simply false”.

“At the heart of these allegations is the idea that we put financial profit on safety and comfort, simply not true,” Zuckerberg said in a lengthy memo to his employees posted on his Facebook page.
