Sora in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – that was the dream of many fans. It comes out and of course Tetsuya Nomura has a part in that. One can assume that Nomura insisted on having a say in Sora’s design in Smash.
Masahiro Sakurai recently spoke about these difficult investigations at Harada’s Bar. After all, Sakurai and Smash borrow some of the most valuable characters (and brands) from some of the biggest publishers.
Some are very strict about modeling the characters, others prefer to focus on other things, such as the behavior of the characters. Harada believed that Bandai Namco had been quite relaxed with Kazuya. But Sakurai laughed and denied it.
How was Nomura? Anyway, he says of working with Sakurai and the Smash team: “They were very careful and did a great job of responding to our frequent reviews and detailed questions” – that sounds pretty telling.
“I think the fans will be happy with Sora’s result and I hope you all enjoy playing as him. To all the staff of Mr. Sakurai, thank you very much,” said Nomura on Twitter. At these meetings people would have liked to play a mouse.
As part of second Fighters Pass Sora joins Min-Min, Alex & Steve, Sephiroth, Pyra/Mythra and Kazuya. Sora has to go October 19, 2021 become available. It will be the final DLC fighter for Smash Ultimate.
