Call of Duty Warzone is being updated with new Season 6 content, and it won’t be long before the countdown is over and COD fans can start exploring the changes made to Verdansk.
And unlike other patches, Activision has already revealed a lot of what’s being tweaked.
First of all, gamers will be able to wield a new set of weapons that will be added slowly through Black Ops: Cold War.
But the more immediate changes are those made to the current Call of Duty Warzone map.
Verdansk wakes up with new sights based on existing locations.
Just like when the satellites crashed on the map, there will be more debris scattered around and places to explore.
Bunkers from World War II will surface through the use of fissures around Verdansk.
What players will find in it is anyone’s guess, but it will be connected to the new map that will be launched based on Call of Duty Vanguard.
And since both games will be integrated, there’s even a slim chance we could get a sneak peek at some of the new weapons or items coming our way.
WHAT IS THE CALL OF DUTY WARZONE SEASON 6 UPDATE TIME?
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty Cold War and Warzone Season 6 will begin on Thursday, October 7 at 5:00 a.m. BST.
Warzone will receive the new update at the same time, which means you can jump back into it once installed.
An Activision report explains: “As seismic charges are activated in World War II bunkers with stockpiles of decommissioned German bombs, the stage is set for the final showdown.
This, along with the epic conclusion to Black Ops Cold War Zombies in “Forsaken,” will all take place in Season Six of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, which arrives on October 7 after updates to Black Ops Cold War on October 5 at 9 p.m. PT and Warzone on October 6 at 9 p.m. PT.”
Warzone Update News for Season 6
Here’s what Activision revealed about the new sights coming to the Call of Duty Warzone Verdansk map during Season 6:
Hidden beneath the surface of Verdansk – long before the “original Verdansk bunkers” you may have explored before – was an underground system of corridors and armament chambers. These old German war bunkers have been barricaded since the end of the war.
After discovering the existence of these remnants from a bygone era, Adler drilled through the surface to place seismic charges to set off a larger explosion. Their mysterious nature hints at what will come after the launch of Vanguard…
STADIUM AND DOWNTOWN
The old Verdansk stadium has been destroyed as a result of the man-made earthquake, which sent the cranes over the construction site and football field. Fortunately, a new stadium was already planned for the site, but expect more maneuverability at all levels of this site for now in ’84, including within the fissures of the earth.
Southwest of the stadium, Downtown is a chaotic mess as buildings fall into the crack. Reports from the ground point to a tent hotel and several nearby buildings have been destroyed by the blast. For Tier One Operators, we expect less verticality in this infamous part of town, as well as some additional areas to explore.
