More PS5 stock is reportedly coming to the UK in October and GAME is expected to be one of the next wave of retailers to offer it. It’s certainly good news for console hunters who have struggled to find new restock opportunities this month. Until now, Smyths Toys was one of the few stores that sold the device, and that was mainly through physical stores, rather than digitally.
But it looks like another wave of PlayStation 5 stock is coming soon, offering the last chance to buy a next-gen console before Christmas. From what’s been shared so far, GAME will be offering a new shipment of PS5 consoles in early October.
And based on the latest information, this latest PS5 stock drop from GAME will take place between October 12 and October 15.
There are also other reports that Very and John Lewis will be offering more PS5 stock this month, but it’s unclear when these events will take place.
The news was shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – known for providing the best guides on what happens next.
The message posted on Twitter by PS5 Stock UK reads: “GAME has updated the PS5 Bundles page with a 21/10 release date, indicating potential online stock around October 12. There is currently no further information available.
“For those who don’t know, the release date written by GAME is the last day they expect to deliver standard delivery orders. We predict that the restocking should be 12/10 with priority orders delivered by 15/10. As soon as official information is released, we will let you know as soon as possible.”
As always, these reports should be taken with a grain of salt before being confirmed by the retailer.
The big problem is that most stores don’t share information about the next PS5 update before it happens.
PS5 UK restock news
One of the few retailers to do this is GAME, so expect more news to be shared before the next PlayStation stock drops.
Other retailers such as Argos, Currys and Amazon are expected to receive more PS5 stock in October, but it’s unclear what dates these new consoles will be available to buy.
Currys will also reportedly offer more stocks in October 2021 that will not be open to the general public to buy online.
Instead, those who have signed up for the Currys VIP services and have already secured a place on the list will have the chance to purchase a console later this month.
Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings.
AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works better under tension, but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer offering the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The new stock of the PS5 is expected to take place around October 12, 2021.
