Sony Pictures Entertainment also has the first trailer Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City released. The latest theatrical comic in the series will open for the first time in the US on November 24, 2021. For Great Britain there is already a date of 3 December, around that time the film may also be shown in selected German cinemas.
The new film is largely by Johannes Roberts, who is acting as author and director. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is produced by Robert Kulzer, James Harris and Hartley Gorenstein. Executive producers include Martin Moszkowicz and Paul WS Anderson.
Actors include Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Donal Logue and Neal McDonough. The story also ends up in Raccoon City, of course.
The once thriving home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation is now a dying Midwestern city. The company’s exodus left a city that looks like a wasteland. There is also the great evil brewing beneath the surface. That will – of course – be unleashed and a group of survivors will work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella. And survive the night.
