Trials of Osiris is back this week and Guardians may be willing to play a less experimental version in Destiny 2 today.

The PvP event has been on hold for a while, with the Iron Banner taking center stage last week.

But with that out of the way, Bungie is gearing up to bring back the revamped Trials of Osiris around 6pm BST.

The last time the activity was playable, it had different rules and was named Capture Zone.

This is not part of this week’s Trials and Guardians will experience a more standard version of the game mode.

According to one of Bungie’s most recent posts, Trials will return to the standard Elimination over the next few weekends, with the immaculate pool starting at 10 a.m. Sunday.

“We know that every weekend has been a little bit shocking and we want to keep some consistency in the coming weeks,” Bungie told fans last week.

Before we tease this week: the revamp has gone well and it’s great to see renewed excitement around the mode.

“Looks like tomorrow will come [REDACTED] as the blameless reward. Got a nice throw the last time it was featured but I’d really like to get it [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] am working on it.

“I hope you’re ready to continue playing” [REDACTED]. It has a few different range profiles to play with depending on which course you go for first.

“You just have to make sure you play as a team. Flank when you can, but be ready to spin if you need to. What, my descriptions are too vague? A Destiny pro could easily guess which card I’m talking about have.”

Trials now offers a seven win challenge, which will be available from Saint-14, and offers the Adept Flawless loot.

Reputation win per match has been scaled based on the number of round wins on a ticket, and trial passes are now within account range.

For example, these are some of the rewards and loot packs that were available last month:

  • Reputation Rank 4: Upgrade Module
  • Reputation Rank 7: Improvement Prism
  • Reputation Rank 10: Eye of Sol Legendary Sniper Rifle
  • Reputation Rank 13: Upgrade Module
  • Reputation Rank 16: Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon

The last Flawless Reward Bungie offered was Shayura’s Wrath Adept SMG, which is expected to be replaced by something new today.

Bungie has also confirmed that they have reduced the lap time to 90 seconds, with each round starting with fresh special ammunition.

Cross Play must be enabled to participate in Trials of Osiris, which also requires the purchase of the current annual expansion.
