Battlefield 2042 End Time COUNTDOWN: How long will it take for the Open Beta to end?

Recent articles

The Battlefield 2042 end time countdown is ticking, but gamers still have plenty of time to enjoy the test period.

EA plans to launch the full game in November, meaning it’s one of the last chances to play the game.

The Open Beta is available to download and play on a variety of platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

It only comes with a very limited number of modes and maps and basically only contains one experience that can be played repeatedly.

The available mode is Conquest, which pits 128 players on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC against each other for control of crucial points scattered across the chosen map.

The cards are specially designed for large encounters, where the action is divided into different types of “clusters”. Also, the action now centers around sectors made up of multiple flags rather than individual checkpoints.

The map chosen is Orbital, a location with a number of tanks and air units, along with dynamic weather effects and storms.

The open beta experience so far has been described as big but unpolished, with lots of glitches and lighting issues hampering gameplay.

The promotion is determined by the number of tickets left in a game, and EA confirms this week:

“Think of tickets as a shared team resource, the more tickets you have, the more respawns you get. More respawns means more soldiers on the field fighting for your team, making it easier for you to control more territory. The more tickets you have, the less your enemy has, giving you an advantage.

“Of course the most direct way to reduce the number of enemies is to take them out. But you also need to take (and hold) targets on the map to control sectors. The more sectors you control, the more you empty the enemy team of tickets (reinforcements). If either team reaches zero tickets, the match is over and the other team wins.”

WHEN DOES THE BATTLEFIELD OPEN BTA END?

EA has confirmed that this week’s Battlefield 2042 open beta end time is scheduled for 8pm BST, on Sunday, October 10.

There’s no word on an extension, which means we can’t expect more time to be added to the current test period.

For gamers in North America, the same Battlefield beta ends on October 10 at midnight.

The full Battlefield 2042 release date is slated for all compatible platforms for November 19, 2021.
