A few days ago, Rockstar Games finally announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Bee. The HD collection has long been on the rumor mill and will be released this year for all current platforms, including Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
To clear the way for the new (and possibly more expensive) remasters, the digital versions of the individual games will disappear from the shops at the end of today.
Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas can no longer be purchased digitally. These games will not be available again until the new trilogy comes out. Rockstar gave that a few days ago known.
As always, buyers of the games can still (re)download and play them. Nevertheless, many fans will regret, especially in terms of game preservation, that the old originals are disappearing.
