Capcom posted on Twitter via the official Monster Hunter account confirmed, Which Monster Hunster Rise and the Sunbreak extension on PCs does not provide cross-save and cross-play functionality.

This was clearly a highly requested feature from the Monster Hunter community, but Capcom writes: “We heard your calls for cross-save/cross-play for Monster Hunter Rise & Sunbreak, but after looking into it in the development process, unfortunately we didn’t we found out we can’t run it this time.”

Monster hunters looking to switch platforms with the release of the PC version will look in the quiver for the score. In the comments below the Twitter post Many fans suspect that Nintendo restrictions have their share here as well.

Some fans also point out that it hasn’t been implemented in Monster Hunter Stories 2, but is technically possible through detours. Monster Hunter Stories 2 is also available for Switch and PC.

The upcoming PC Steam version will bring 4K support, ultra-wide screens, improved textures and frame rates, and of course keyboard and mouse support starting January 12, 2022.
