PlayStation VR Surprise – Sony is giving away FREE PS4 games to PSVR fans

PSVR has become a successful part of the PlayStation brand and will soon receive an upgraded headset that works natively with the PS5.

This won’t happen in 2021, which is a shame as it would have been the perfect way to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Virtual Reality device.

But Sony still has plans to commemorate the five years that the PlayStation VR has been on the market in a different way.

PlayStation Plus members have been confirmed to get three free PS VR bonus games next month.

Sony hasn’t revealed which PS4 games will be included, but there’s a good chance that some popular titles will be included.

A message from Sony explains: “Today marks the fifth anniversary of the launch of PlayStation VR to the world, and we would like to take this moment to thank all our fans and our talented development community for embracing this platform and supporting PS VR over the years.

“It’s amazing to see how virtual reality has really established itself as a platform for gaming over the past five years, and we’re excited to see PS VR play a big part in the growth of VR.

“Since the launch of PS VR, we have seen a wide variety of unique experiences that demonstrate a sense of presence that we wanted to achieve with this platform, including critically acclaimed games such as the thrilling action shooter Rez Infinite, the epic rescue mission platformer Astro Bot Rescue Mission and the stealth action of Hitman 3.”

The full PS Plus reveal is expected to take place on October 27 and will include all free games released as part of the subscription service.

This means that for some gamers there will be more than five games available for download via PlayStation Plus in early November.

There are no leaks suggesting what could be included in the next list of free PS Plus games, but we expect them to disappear in the first week of November.

The current list of games for October is available for download today and includes the following titles on PS4 and PS5:

HELL LET GO ON PS5

This World War II-inspired multiplayer title combines epic 100-player combat with a unique resource-based RTS-inspired metagame, where commanders direct the course of battle and coordinate powerful in-game abilities that affect the march of the team to victory.
