Destiny 2 Xur location today: where is Xur this week and what is he selling?

Recent articles

Bungie won’t give any clues about where Xur will be today, but Destiny 2 Guardians won’t have to wait long to find out.

The Agent of the Nine returns soon, offering random roles on a shortlist of exotic items, legendary weapon armor sets.

Most of these are on sale as of today, October 15, with Legendary Shards and Glimmer from Xur.

The same weapons and armor can be purchased until the Weekly Reset, scheduled for Tuesday, October 19, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.

The question of where Xur is and what he is selling is settled at 6pm BST when the trader returns to one of his chosen spots.

This could be in the EDZ, The Tower, or somewhere else like Nessus. No new locations have been added to the game and there’s no reason to believe he could spawn anywhere else.

Last week, Xur sold these legendary weapons: Jian 7 Rifle Energy Pulse Rifle, Seventh Seraph Officer Revolver Primary Hand Cannon, Gnawing Hunger Energy Auto Rifle, Distant Tumulus Energy Sniper Rifle, Wishbringer Energy Shotgun, Temptation’s Hook Heavy Sword, Bottom Dollar Energy Hand Cannon.

And he also sold these exotic weapons: Telesto for 29 Legendary Shards, Winter’s Guile for 2, The Bombardiers for 23, Mk. 44 Move aside for 23.

Xur also sold the Vigil of Heroes Hunter Legendary Armor for 50 Legendary Shards and 1000 Glimmer.

And for those who forgot, Legendary Shards used by Xur are remnants of powerful items used to upgrade equipment or trade it for other gear.

It should also be noted that Xur will drop items that are similar in power level to your character.

And another part of Xur that’s new in the latest version of Destiny 2 is that he’s now dropping Cipher Quests for free.

The Quest will reward you with an exotic number, and last week involved completing 21 Strikes or winning the same number of Crucible or Gambit matches.

Each week, Guardians can acquire one Exotic Engram using Legendary Shards that are decoded as Exotics not already in your collection.

Other events currently happening in Destiny 2 are not expected to affect Xur, meaning there will be no crossover items with the Festival of the Lost.

The Trials of Osiris will be the other big event starting today and is expected to offer a new Adept weapon as the Flawless reward.

It will return to the game at 6pm unless Bungie has chosen to postpone it for some reason or have an experimental weekend.
