PS5 stock is coming back to the UK this week, with Argos linked to a new PlayStation addition, which could hold thousands of consoles.
This follows news from Currys and EE, who have both shared ways to pre-order consoles in October.
New Currys VIP codes have been sent out, giving gamers looking for a new console the chance to head to a store and start the process.
You’re unlikely to walk out with a console on the day you go in, but you’ll get a seat in the queue, which is way better than scrambling around online.
For everyone else waiting for a digital drop, Argos is expected to be the next major UK retailer to host a PS5 restock.
From what’s been shared so far, the next PS5 restock will take place on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
We don’t know how many consoles are for sale, but Argos usually trades in large numbers.
These units are distributed across regional hubs, which means you’ll need to keep an eye on your local Argos retail site.
The retailer can also offer in-store restocks, but they are much less predictable and not guaranteed.
Argos replenishments can start at about 3am BST and last until 10am, due to its regional format.
More PS5 Stock Coming to Argos
The news was shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – known for providing the best guides on what happens next.
The latest message that PS5 Stock UK posted on Twitter reads: “A few warehouses have received shipments of PS5s, both Disc and Digital Editions, and the remaining warehouses are expected to receive shipments by the end of this week. Sales to the public is expected around October 20.”
As mentioned above, this remains a forecast, meaning dates and times may change to later in October, depending on Argos’ internal plans.
Both GAME and Amazon are expected to list more PS5 stock in October, but no dates, times or predictions have been made as to when this will happen.
Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings. The next PS5 restock is expected to take place on October 20.
GAME: GAME is a UK store that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase.
AMAZON UNITED KINGDOM: Amazon UK works better under tension, but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out.
