It really shouldn’t surprise anyone, but now CD Projekt RED has made it official the planned nextgen updates for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher III will be released next year:

So the scifi epic, which probably needs such an upgrade, should come in Q1 while Geralt gets his beauty treatment in Q2.
Exact reasons for the delay are not given, just that you follow the recommendations of the development team, which actually sounds quite reasonable.
