Minecraft Live offered fans a lot of news to digest, but it was a little short on the official release dates. And that could lead to serious questions about what will come out on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo and mobile platforms. And while we can’t share the exact date when new updates and patches will be released, we do know the order and overall timing planned for each new expansion already announced for the popular sandbox title.

Minecraft 1.19 is going to be a massive expansion for the game, with developers Mojang confirming how they plan to explore biomes and features in the new update.

Minecraft 1.19 is officially called The Wild update and will add new items to the game.

One of these additions revealed during Minecraft Live was the mangrove trees, which will grow from propagules and create their own biomes.

Harvesting them will give you a new type of wood and the mangrove swamps will be populated with creatures such as frogs, which can be raised from tadpoles of various species.

With the frogs come the fireflies and the mud, which will be another type of building that can be used to make bricks and mud blocks.

Minecraft 1.19 will also receive other important things such as boats with built-in storage, the new Allay Mob, and the Deep Dark features that would come with Minecraft 1.18.

And from what Mojang has shared, the Minecraft 1.19 release date has been set for 2022, probably before the summer.

Mojang has detailed what will be included in Minecraft 1.19 before launching the next update, Minecraft 1.18.

Minecraft 1.18 is called Caves and Cliffs and was split into two parts earlier this year due to the expansion’s growth in size and ambition.

Caves and Cliffs Part 2 will add many new and useful features such as bundles along with bags that can be stored in chests.

New types of biomes have been promised and gamers will soon be able to explore Noise and Lush Caves.

Lush Caves add fruit and nature to the cave system, along with flowers of Azalea plants and Pink Blossoms.

Vines will grow that contain glowing berries, which will help to naturally light up areas of the caves they grow in.

All these things come with the release date of Minecraft 1.18, which is slated for 2021.

Unfortunately, Mojang has not given an exact date for when the Caves and Cliffs update will be available for download.

They did say it would be ready within two months of Minecraft Live, which was held on October 16.

So the earliest launch is November 18, 2021, across all platforms.
