Fortnite developer Epic Games has confirmed plans to release a brand new update on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S and Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android.

Fortnite update 18.30 has a release date of October 26 and a start time of 9am BST UK. It is launched along with a maintenance period.

According to the server’s downtime schedule, the services will be taken offline around 8:30 a.m. The downtime should end around 11am BST.

The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter: “Do you fight with violence…or with groove?” reads an epic tweet. “The v18.30 update is scheduled to release on October 26. Downtime will begin at approximately 4 a.m. ET (08:00 UTC), with matchmaking shutting down approximately 30 minutes early.”

As you can see from the Epic tweet, fans can vote for another unvaulting. This week’s competition is between the Combat Shotgun and the Boogie Bomb.

There are also rumors that the Cube Town may finally turn into the rumor pyramid discovered last season.

“The Cube City MUST slowly turn into a Pyramid (the Pyramid I talked about last season), because there is a string in the Cube Queen’s effects that refers to her as the “Pyramid Point”, and she will also hold her pickaxe after 6.30pm with lightning effects all around her!” reads a Hypex tweet.

Fans can also expect a slew of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. You can see the full list of patch notes for update 18.30 below.
