The new Animal Crossing DLC comes with a major update
The November 5 Animal Crossing update is one of the biggest to hit Nintendo Switch since the game launched in 2020.
There will be both a free update that anyone can download and the new Happy Home Paradise, the game’s first paid DLC.
For those who may have missed the special Direct presentation, HHP is adding Lottie and the Paradise Planning team to the Nintendo Switch experience.
In your new role, you will travel to a chain of new islands where you can design vacation homes, furnish island facilities such as schools and restaurants, and discover new ways to create and personalize vacation homes for customers.
A message from Nintendo explains pricing and tells fans ahead of the launch: “Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise launches on November 5 and can be purchased for a one-time fee of $24.99.
“The paid expansion is also supported as a free feature of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, Nintendo Switch Online’s new membership plan that includes the basic Nintendo Switch Online membership, plus additional benefits such as access to Nintendo 64 games and SEGA Genesis games. games.
“Members can download and play Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise for free while maintaining an active membership. An individual membership costs $49.99 for 12 months, while a family membership costs $79.99 for 12 months.”
But the most important thing that has been confirmed since the announcement is that Nintendo has no plans to release any more paid DLC for New Horizons.
HHP will be the first and last to launch on Nintendo Switch for Animal Crossing, after confirmation is shared with IGN.
But another, more disappointing point raised is that both the DLC and the free update will be the last major content releases for New Horizons, after a trickle of content in recent months.
Here are the Animal Crossing New Horizons features included in the free update:
Brewster opens a cafe: Something new is coming to a corner of the museum. The silent owner Brewster opens the Roost after you fulfill a certain favor for museum director Blathers. The Roost is a new location to relax and enjoy a hand-selected coffee. You can also encounter islanders here.
Take a boat trip with Kapp’n: Kapp’n hangs by the pier and takes you on his boat to one of the remote islands. The sailor song he serenades you along the way is part of the fun too! You may arrive at islands with mysterious flora never seen before, or islands with different seasons and times of the day.
dig up gyroids: Until now, fossils could be excavated from the ground, and now you can also find gyroids. Each gyroid plays unique sounds. You can also adapt them to their environment when you place them.
Shopping at the open market on Harv’s Island: Harv’s Island is being revamped. With a little help from his friend Harriet, Harvey invites some shops on the island to an open market. Please donate Bells to charity to make it possible.
