Animal Crossing New Horizons DLC
Animal Crossing New Horizons has sold tens of millions of copies since its launch at the start of the pandemic.
Given its popularity, it’s surprising that fans haven’t been treated to paid DLC until now….
Animal Crossing Happy Home Paradise is available as an expansion for New Horizons on Nintendo Switch.
The Happy Home Paradise DLC has a November 5 release date and a midnight launch time in each region.
Animal Crossing’s DLC has a hefty price tag of £22.49, although it can be yours for free if you subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
The newly released subscription level gives Nintendo Switch owners the ability to play online games with other people.
Subscribers can also play NES, SNES, Sega Mega Drive and Nintendo 64 games on Switch. You will also receive the Animal Crossing DLC, although you must own the base game.
A Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription costs £34.99 for 12 months of access.
The new Animal Crossing DLC launches alongside a new update, which is now available for download.
Animal Crossing New Horizons Update 2.0 adds a host of new features apart from the DLC.
According to the patch notes, this includes the Island Ordinances, extra storage space for your home, plus Kapp’n’s boat trips.
Needless to say, the update also lays the groundwork for the Happy Home Paradise DLC, so you’ll need to download the patch before you start playing.
Happy Home Paradise gives players the chance to design vacation homes for some of the island’s residents.
“Get creative and help design dream vacation homes for many of your favorite islanders in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise, available as paid downloadable content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.”
With the DLC installed, players will join Lottie’s Paradise Planning team, where you can choose jobs and design houses based on your client’s wishes.
“Choose the island you want to build on and design everything to create a home that makes the customer happy.
“Place furniture that matches the theme, decorate both indoors and out, change the season, the time of day and more. The more houses you make, the more customers you will find looking for your services!”
Players will also be able to transform vacant buildings into hospitals, schools, and other essential properties.
