Square Enix today announced that Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier launched worldwide on November 17th. Think 25 years back. Back then we played the original – Battle Royale? There was no such thing then, just like there were no mobile games at all.
Even Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier time returns. The opening video shows you this impressively. Because the action of the mobile offshoot takes place 30 years before the main story. Shinra is not yet the force it is now. But there was already one: Hojo.
Shinra has just started the Soldier program and players are now training in combat with the goal of successfully completing it. This is where The First Soldier gameplay connects. Ultimately, thanks to the controller support, everything should feel like you’re on a console – let’s see.
At the moment you can still pre-register and get some bonuses at the start. Pre-registration is now in App Store and with google play possible. When it comes to monetization, The First Soldier should be based on Fortnite and Co. Are you going to take a look?
