Surprise PlayStation 5 update is a free PS4 and PS5 download

It’s been quite a month for Ghost Recon Breakpoint after the launch of a surprising new expansion across all platforms.

And this was followed by allowing PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC gamers to download it and try the new experience for free.

So even if you’ve played Ghost Recon Breakpoint before, there’s something new to try now.

The good news is that this free trial is available to everyone on PS4 and PS5 consoles, regardless of your subscription plan.

The big downside is that Ghost Recon Breakpoint won’t stay free forever and won’t include crossplay, meaning you won’t be able to jump in with friends on PC or Xbox.

The free download is now live and will be available on PlayStation Store through Monday, November 8.

The official Ghost Recon trial end time is November 8th at 5pm GMT, although things may turn out differently depending on regional updates.

As for the new content available this weekend, Operation Motherland has just been added to the game along with a new game mode.

This is all available in the new Ghost Recon free trial and more details can be found below:

Conquest Mode is a new alternate mode to the classic GRB story mode. It can be accessed via the target board or the TacMap, right after the onboarding portion of the story mode. Players must conquer the island region by region and free Auroa from the clutches of the Bodarks with the help of the Outcasts and Karen Bowman.

Along with four new Bodark lieutenants, Conquest mode will feature five new Bodark archetypes:

  • Tactician (radio operator)
  • Suppressor (armored robber)
  • Dreadnought (armored rocket gunner)
  • Trooper (gunner)
  • Seeker (shooter with optical camouflage)

  • Experience player desk as you reclaim Auroa:
  • Play over 60 short missions to dismantle Bodark’s influence.
  • Complete the missions in any order to conquer the 11 regions of Auroa.
  • Pay attention to the impact of your missions on Auroa, as the Rebel presence will increase and the Bodarks will weaken.

Pointing to the island of the real star of the new game, the Express Review shared this feedback in 2019: “The real star here is undoubtedly Auroa, and between mountain ranges, huge waterfalls and green meadows there is plenty to see. A technological haven for the best and brightest of mankind, the Wolves’ takeover has seen them seize total control and push the previous inhabitants underground.

“The region feels like what an Apple-run nation-state would look like if converted from the secret hideout of a Bond villain. The vast open areas are punctuated by clean, sterile buildings dominated by glass, while more traditional areas are crisscrossed by wooden bridges and dirt roads. After the politically irresponsible decision to locate Wildlands in Bolivia, it feels like Ubisoft made the right choice this time around.

“You can play as you please over this mishmash of terrain types. Breakpoint’s class and skill points system is impressively diverse, providing multiple options for customizing your employee’s toolkit. Unlike in Wildlands, where stealth felt like great Plan A before turning into endless gunfire, here it’s more achievable – with the right silenced weapon, you can clear a camp without switching to the big guns, unless you can. of course you want. Gunplay also feels great in Breakpoint, much smoother than Wildlands, while also providing great tactile feedback with controller rumble.
