Shortly before the start of the network test, Bandai Namco rolled in one Frequently Asked Questions the official website for new technical details Elden ring released. It’s about performance, framerate on the different platforms and cross-save features.
Elden Ring should run on PCs at resolutions up to 3840x2160p and up to 60 FPS. HDR is supported, ray tracing needs to be patched. This, of course, requires a sufficiently powerful PC.
The PlayStation 5 does the same in performance mode. The PS4 Pro manages a minimum of 30 FPS and 3200x1800p, while HDR is supported and ray tracing is not supported. If you do bet on a PS4, then you have to settle for 30 FPS and a resolution of 1920x1080p.
The PS4 version can be transferred to the PS5, as well as the saved data. It was already known that there would be a free next-gen upgrade. If you decide to transfer data, the process is irreversible.
Performance mode and resolution mode
The Xbox Series X represents Elden Ring in the same form as the PS5. The Xbox Series S manages at least 2560x1440p and also 60 FPS. Of course, there are downsides to the Xbox One X and the Xbox One. Xbox offers full intergenerational compatibility.
In addition to the performance mode, where the load balancer adjusts the resolution so that a constant 60 FPS is delivered, there is also the resolution mode. The maximum resolution is provided here, but there is only 30 FPS.
After another postponement, Elden Ring is slated to release on February 25, 2022. Check out last week’s new gameplay footage below.
