Hardly a game has been re-released more often than the action RPG Skyrim by publisher and developer Bethesda. It is therefore not surprising that as part of QuakeCon 2021, Bethesda has announced yet another edition of the highly successful role-playing game.
There is now a brand new trailer for this brand new anniversary edition of Skyrim, which aims to illustrate some of the new features and content of the anniversary edition.
Skyrim was originally released on November 11, 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PCs. The Anniversary Edition will be released on November 11, 2021 – perfectly chosen.
Bethesda is celebrating today’s birthday with a big celebratory livestream that you you can watch on youtube. It kicks off at 6pm and a free concert starts at 8pm that Skyrim fans shouldn’t miss.
New content from fans and Bethesda
In addition to the main game, the Skyrim Anniversary Edition also includes the three official DLCs Hearthfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn. There are also over 500 DLCs from the Creation Club. These bring you new weapons, missions, bosses, dungeons and magical abilities.
Much of the content in the Creation Club is created by members of the Skyrim community. But of course, Bethesda has also contributed some new content. In fact, two of the biggest new quest series are said to be thematically based on the two predecessors Morrowind and Oblivion. A real festival for fans.
Next-gen update and angel function as a special extra
As an added feature, Bethesda is also planning the brand new fishing feature, which allows you to take a break from the heated dragon hunt to catch a few fish in comfort. In addition to the ability to fish, there will also be a full-fledged next-gen update for Skyrim, which should take the graphic quality of the now quite dusty title on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series to a new level.
