Jim Ryan thanks you for your patience in buying the console

A year ago today, Sony’s PlayStation 5 was released, and even so long after it was first released, you won’t find the console on the shelves. Every console that comes to dealers is immediately passed on to end customers. Whether online or in stores.

To celebrate the first anniversary today, Sony PlayStation has not only communicated the most played PS5 games, but also discussed the current situation regarding the sales of the console.

“I also want to thank all of you in the community for your patience. We continue to see record-breaking demand for PS5 consoles and we understand that limited stock continues to frustrate many of our customers,” said Jim Ryan.

A few days ago, Sony announced that 13.3 million devices have been sold worldwide. The PS5 continues to sell as fast as the PS4 once did.

“You can count on us to be fully focused on doing everything in our power to deliver as many consoles as possible. We are working on it every day across the company and it remains my top priority,” he continues.

“Once again, we appreciate your patience as we navigate our way through these unprecedented global challenges,” so Ryan – Sony is of course not the only company facing these challenges.

But it is what it is. And one or the other console you already have in your hands. Let’s count down – who already has a PlayStation 5? Tell us in the comment section!
