The highlight of the month for PlayStation Plus subscribers is the release of the latest batch of free PS4 and PS5 games.

Sony releases PS Plus games on the first Tuesday of the month, the unveiling takes place a week earlier.

Depending on how the days fall, subscribers may have to wait a little longer for the PS Plus games to be revealed.

This applies to December’s free PS Plus games, which will not be revealed until the afternoon of December 1.

To make matters worse, fans will have to wait until Tuesday, December 7 to actually download and play the new PS Plus releases.

It’s an unfortunate situation, though at least it gives subscribers extra time to download the current batch of free games.

This includes PS4 and PS5 versions of Knockout City and First Class Trouble, as well as the PS4 version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

As an added bonus, Sony has included three PlayStation VR titles in November’s lineup of free games.

If you have PSVR and a PS Plus subscription, download The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners and Until You Fall before it’s too late.

The highlight of the month is arguably Knockout City, which has a score of 80% on Metacritic.

Knockout City, developed by Velan Studios and published by EA, is a team-based multiplayer dodgeball game.

“Feel a team and battle it out in style with rival crews as you settle the bill for epic dodgeball battles online,” reads a Sony message.

Brace yourself for crazy fun and intense competition in an all-new take on team-based multiplayer games.

“Defeat opponents with trick shots and coordinated teamwork while dodging and catching balls flying across the map. No ball? No problem! You can literally roll balls, into the hands of a teammate and become the ultimate weapon.”

Needless to say, the game offers tons of customization options as well as the ability to team up with friends.

As for the PSVR games, Walking Dead Saints and Sinners and The Persistence are both excellent horror games with a lot of replay value.

The Persistence is a rogue-lite horror game set aboard a stranded starship in the depths of space.

Stranded, malfunctioning and trapped in the inexorable pull of a black hole, ‘The Persistence’ is overrun with a crew mutated into horrific and murderous aberrations.

“It’s up to you, a clone of Security Officer Zimri Eder, to get deeper into the decks of The Persistence to repair the systems and prevent the ship from being torn apart.

“Collect resources, upgrade skills and craft an arsenal of weapons in this unforgiving sci-fi horror rogue-lite.”

In The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, on the other hand, players must survive a zombie apocalypse on the streets of New Orleans.
