King of Fighters 15 beta on PlayStation
King of Fighters developer SNK is gearing up to release the KOF 15 open beta on PlayStation.
Available exclusively on PS4 and PS5, the King of Fighters 15 open beta has a November 20 release date for UK players.
UK fans who want to try the game early can start playing at 3am GMT on Friday morning. The open beta ends on November 22 at 3:00 PM GMT.
To make sure you don’t miss a second of the action, the King of Fighters 15 open beta may load earlier than planned.
The news was announced by SNK on Twitter: “The pre-download Open Beta Test version of KOF XV has now started!
“Download the trial version from the PS4/PS5 THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV Standard Edition store page.”
According to SNK, the KOF 15 beta will feature a total of eight characters, multiple game modes, and even cross-platform play.
The Playabale characters include the recently announced Dolores, who is described as a mysterious newcomer with the ability to speak to the earth and control sacred ground.
“She has also teamed up with General Heidern and another new character, Isla,” the official description reads.
“Some may have noticed that the details on her clothing resemble the embroidery found on another character, and so along with that information and the fact that she was paired with such an odd team, it means this story is something that you do not want to miss !
“Get ready for some awesome battles with the cool and collected mystery Dolores.”
Other playable characters include Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, and Chizuru Kagura, as well as Yashiro, Shermie, Chris, and Shun’ei.
The beta gives SNK the opportunity to test the online experience, not to mention the overall balance.
“What’s a fighting game without different fighting modes, and this open beta test offers plenty to keep you entertained.
“There are two online and two offline modes; Casual Match and Room Match can be accessed online, while Training and Versus can be accessed offline.
“Room Match in particular includes the latest feature of KOF XV: Draft Vs, which will undoubtedly take your battles to a whole new level.”
