The Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris PvP event is rolling out again with new rewards and default rules.

Last week featured a zonal experimental build that will not be in play when the Trials begin on November 19.

Bungie hasn’t said anything about changing the rules this week or canceling the event, so Trials are believed to kick off between 5pm and 6pm GMT.

Osiris rewards won’t be known until the event kicks off, and it may take a while to figure out the full loot list. It will be Guardians who will have to do the hard work, as Bungie rarely gives advance directions.

Trials now offer a seven win challenge, which will be available from Saint-14, and yields the Adept Flawless loot. Reputation win per match has been scaled based on the number of round wins on a ticket, and trial passes are now within account range.

Bungie has confirmed that they have reduced the round time to 90 seconds, with each round starting with fresh special ammunition.

Cross-Play must be enabled to participate, which also requires the purchase of the current annual expansion.

Bungie also outlined how they plan to make changes to the game in the future that will help shape the PvP competition in Trials.

These will not be the rule changes that are being worked on, but will instead come from the major adjustments being made to skills.

A post from Bungie explaining the upcoming changes planned for the 30th Anniversary update in December explains:

“Since the launch of Destiny in 2014, the super-energy gain has been almost entirely passive. Your Intellect stats determine how quickly your Super regenerates, with a few other elements such as Orbs of Power, armor and weapon advantages, and defeating targets as active resources.

“This system has worked well for a long time, but there are issues that have become more apparent as the game has evolved and the player’s overall ability, especially the ability to evaluate how to play around their character build, has increased.

“In high stakes game modes like Trials of Osiris or Survival, where every life is precious, passive play becomes more common as players sit back and wait for their Supers to finish a tie. In general, we want the most efficient way to get super energy to be active in combat. That doesn’t mean you have to win every fight, but we want you to try.

“To bring us closer to that goal, we’re making a big change to the system. Superregeneration still has a passive component that is scaled by your Intellect metrics, but at a significantly slower rate. In addition to your passive regeneration, you will also gain Super energy from dealing damage to or from opponents.

“Everyone should get at least one Super in a 6v6 match that hits the score or the time limit, as long as they participate in regular fights.

“Supers should be less frequent in 3v3 modes than in the live game, where two Supers per game are quite regular.”

The full list of Trials rewards will be added to the top of this article when revealed by Guardians.
