A new malfunction has hit the social networking applications Facebook and Instagram, after many users in some countries complained that they were unable to upload their accounts to Instagram, while others were unable to send messages via Facebook Messenger.
The Facebook and Instagram malfunctions repeated themselves recently, at a time when Frances Haugen, a former Facebook employee, warned of Metaverse’s impact in forcing the future world of virtual reality for individuals to disclose more personal information.
And Facebook should have a transparency plan for the Metaverse before it starts building all this stuff, Haugen said. Metaverse is a kind of interactive internet, or at least it comes in 3D.
