Start time for maintenance Genshin Impact
New and exciting content is coming to Genshin Impact this week, but first gamers need to do some maintenance.
Mihoyo has already warned that they will take servers offline for an extended period of time, which will end with the launch of update 2.3
The good news is that the development team will credit all Primogems accounts based on how long Genshin Impact maintenance takes, offering more for longer server downtime.
There will also be plenty of new content and features available to those who log in after the dust settles.
Returning characters will star in the first Banner, and Abledo and Eula will receive increased drop rates on November 24.
Two Character Event Wishes will be available at the same time as Albedo and Eula are both in the works for a rerun, sharing the same cumulative pull count for the 5-star drop guarantee.
Later in Genshin 2.3, Mihoyo will launch two new characters named Arataki Itto and Gorou.
Gorou is the weaker of the two, ranked as a four-star character who wields a Geo Visio but prefers a bow.
As for his abilities, Gorou can buff his teammates in combat, and both his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst inflict AoE Geo Damage and enhance characters on the field.
This will only get bigger as you add more Geo characters to your party across PlayStation, PC and mobile platforms.
Meanwhile, Arataki Itto is a five-star character with powerful Claymore attacks and the power of Geo.
According to Mihoyo, Itto gains stacks of Superlative Superstrength with his Normal Attacks and Elemental Skill.
A message from the development team explains: “Each stack of Superlative Superstrength allows him to defeat a powerful Charged Attack, the Arataki Kesagiri, and once the last stack is consumed, a particularly powerful attack is unleashed.
“With his Elemental Burst, Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil, Itto unleashes his inner Raging Oni King, using his Oni King’s Kanabou in battle. When Itto turns into the Raging Oni King, his Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks are converted to Geo Damage.”
HOW TIME DOES GENSHIN IMPACT MAINTENANCE BEGIN?
The official Genshin Impact maintenance time has been set for Tuesday, November 23rd at 10pm BST.
Server downtime is expected to last approximately five hours and will end with the release of Genshin 2.3.
The new update will be playable on November 24 in the UK around 3pm GMT, and on the same day (November 23) in the United States.
Mihoyo offers each player a maintenance fee of 300 Primogems, which is set at an hourly rate, so changes can be made as downtime gets longer.
Genshin 2.3 offers new characters to unlock and the Winter Camp on DragonSpine to explore.
The Dragonspine Special Training offers participants three different types of challenges. The first is Agility Training, which puts your speed to the test in specially designed race tracks with various buffs, collectible seals and obstacles.
The second challenge is the Tracker Training, where participants must spot and melt certain ice crystals to collect snowman components. If you’re already an experienced treasure hunter who never misses a chest, this one should be a breeze. Last but not least we have Combat Training. You will find special lures that emit cold air and polish a large number of enemies nearby.
