PlayStation Now December 2021: First PS4 game revealed as Sony confirms PlayStation removal

Recent articles

We already know that one PS4 game will be added and one will be removed as part of the PlayStation Now launch in December 2021.

Subscribers can choose from hundreds of games spanning different console generations and genres.

And anyone who has Slay the Spire on their list should stop today and start fighting. Sony has confirmed that the indie card game will be discontinued from the lineup on December 7.

For those who have never played it, Slay the Spire is a fantastic deck builder that pits you against a world full of monsters and random encounters.

Filled with roguelike experience, STS challenges you to climb a ladder full of enemies with an ever-growing arsenal of cards with different abilities and different objectives.

When you get to the top, hope you’ve done enough to grow your deck and maintain as much health as possible as you take on the final boss.

The official PS4 game description adds: “Each run of Slay the Spire procedurally generates a new Spire for you to climb. After each battle, you make a crucial decision and choose a new card to add to your deck.

“Like the rest of the Spire, these card choices will be different every run. Rather than developing an outdated best strategy and never changing it, Slay the Spire forces you to adapt and experiment with new decks and cards.

“Slay the Spire features three playable characters with completely different card pools and playstyles, with each of these characters having a myriad of different strategies and unique playstyles to explore. When playing Slay the Spire, remember to explore and discover all possible synergies.”

The good news is that Slay the Spire is being replaced by another unique PS4 title that some fans should be very happy about.

The Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster makes its PlayStation Now debut on December 7 and is just the first of several Final Fantasy games to be added to the library.

Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8 Remastered, and Final Fantasy 9 are already available to play this month.

And more will be added after Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster goes live on PS Now.

The last game to be added from the FF library is Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age, with Sony confirming: “Enter an era of war in the world of Ivalice. The small kingdom of Dalmasca, conquered by the Archadic Empire, is left behind in ruins and uncertainty.

“Princess Ashe, the one and only heir to the throne, is committed to the Resistance to liberate her country. Vaan, a young man who lost his family in the war, dreams of flying free through the sky. Join these unlikely allies and their companions in a struggle for freedom and fallen royalty as they embark on a heroic adventure to liberate their homeland.”
