Trials of Osiris Rewards This Week
With no other major Destiny 2 PvP event in the spotlight, Trials of Osiris is expected to kick off again on November 26.
Unlocking the latest Adept weapon will be the main focus for those who can secure a Flawless lock.
Default rules are expected to be enforced, meaning no zonal gameplay will be available until Bungie announces it.
No more experimental builds are expected in November, but more could follow in the last month of the year.
A recent message from Bungie explains: “After Iron Banner expires next week, we will still have Trials in November of the new matchmaking changes mentioned in this TWAB.
“You can also use this time to catch up on some Catalysts, take out some Triumphs, or finish anything else that’s taking up space in your quest log. We have fun things planned for our 30th anniversary on December 7th. It’s going to be a great time to play some Destiny.
“We’re going to be looking very carefully at how teams are selected over the next few weeks, and hopefully we’ll have a better balance next time Freelance rolls around. This is one of the drawbacks of not using skill-based matchmaking in Trials: in situations where skill would be useful – to balance two teams of solo players – it’s not even a data point for the system to look at.
“Whenever you match in Trials, you’re not only trying to match people who have the same number of card wins, but you’re also trying to match people who have roughly the same number of overall wins for the weekend. If you can’t find anyone to match against, it will eventually expand to find a less similar match for you.”
So if everything goes according to normal schedule, Trials of Osiris will start again on November 26 at 5:00 PM GMT.
The official Osiris rewards won’t be known until the event kicks off, and it may take a while to figure out the full loot list. It will be Guardians who will have to do the hard work, as Bungie rarely gives advance directions.
Trials now offer a seven win challenge, which will be available from Saint-14, and yields the Adept Flawless loot. Reputation win per match has been scaled based on the number of round wins on a ticket, and trial passes are now within account range.
Bungie has confirmed that they have reduced the round time to 90 seconds, with each round starting with fresh special ammunition.
Cross-Play must be enabled to participate, which also requires the purchase of the current annual expansion.
The full list of Trials rewards will be added to the top of this article when revealed by Guardians.
