After Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and the new mixed-disc movie Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, Resident Evil fans’ hopes rest in Netflix’s upcoming live-action series. Netflix is now showing a first teaser.
The new series tells a new story in two timelines. In the first, 14-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker are relocated to New Raccoon City.
An artificial business city forced upon them during their childhood. But the more time they spend there, the more they realize that the city is more than it seems, and that their father is hiding dark secrets. Secrets that can destroy the world.
The story is written by Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) and directed by Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead). The series will start next year and will initially consist of eight episodes.
