Halo Infinite Release Date & Launch Time Confirmed (Image: MICROSOFT)

While some of the game is now available to play, gamers are still waiting for the Halo Infinite Campaign release date.

As a surprising move, Microsoft decided to launch the multiplayer side of the game early in the beta, and fans of the popular shooter are busy with the content available.

But the big news for this week is that the final part of the new Halo Infinite experience will go live on Xbox consoles and Steam very soon.

What makes this launch even more exciting is that the Halo Infinite campaign will be available to play on day one via Xbox Game Pass.

That means every subscriber can get the brand new AAA experience at no extra cost later this week, making for a tempting deal.

Some features will be missing at launch, with Microsoft confirming that the co-op campaign experience won’t be an option.

A recent post from the team confirms what the game will look like, with 343 Industries revealing to fans earlier this year:

“As far as our artistic goals for the campaign, we focused on two main themes, “Legacy” and “Simplicity”, when it comes to the visual experience we build. For “Legacy” we really want players to feel that they experience a game that they fondly remember (Halo: Combat Evolved), but of course with modernized graphics.

“As for “Simplicity”, we wanted to make sure we avoid too loud designs and details, which is an important starting point for the team coming out of Halo 5.

“With Halo Infinite, we wanted to bring this new adventure back to its roots and create a visually pleasing experience that isn’t overflowing with unnecessary complexity where readability and clear artistic composition prevail. This is our artistic interpretation of a beautiful world to exist within. – rather than something purely based on photorealism.

“When all hope is lost and the fate of humanity is at stake, Master Chief is ready to confront the most ruthless enemy he has ever seen. Start again and step into the armor of humanity’s greatest hero to create a epic adventure and ultimately the scale of the Halo ring itself.”

WHEN IS HALO INFINITE CAMPAIGN OUT?

Microsoft has confirmed that the Halo Infinite Campaign release date is set for Wednesday, December 8.

This is a launcher that is shared across all platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Steam PC.

And the Halo Campaign release time has also been confirmed at 6pm GMT or 10am PDT if you live in North America.

Nothing has been posted from the Halo development team to suggest that gamers using Xbox Game Pass should wait longer.

There have been brief delays in the past, but this is likely due to technical requirements for the platform, rather than the need to hold back a product.

Based on what has been shared, the Halo Infinite campaign will be available through Xbox Game Pass on PC, Xbox console and cloud devices.

This means you can start your next Master Chief adventure on your mobile phone, a marked difference in accessibility from the release of Guardians in 2016.
