The last batch of free PlayStation Plus games is set to release in December 2021.

It was a fantastic year for PS Plus subscribers, who were treated to games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Days Gone, Control Ultimate Edition and Battlefield 5.

The December 2021 lineup maintains these high standards, including Godfall Challenger Edition, Mortal Shell and LEGO DC Super Villains.

That’s in addition to the PSVR titles Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, The Persistence and Until You Fall, which are in the lineup for another month.

If you’re looking to get your hands on the PlayStation Plus games before December 2021, you’ll be pleased to hear that you won’t have to wait long.

The next wave of free PS Plus games has a December 7 release date on PS5 and PS4. The games should be available by noon at the latest.

Subscribers can simultaneously download the above titles until January 3rd.

Needless to say, this is your last chance to download and play November’s PS Plus games, including Knockout City, First Class Trouble, and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

Speaking of December’s PS Plus games, the highlight is arguably the Godfall Challenger Edition, a reworked version of the PS5 launch title.

“Godfall is a looter-slasher set in a bright fantasy universe full of heroic knights and mysterious magic,” reads the official description.

Embark on an adventure in a fantasy action RPG that uses powerful third-person melee combat to engage players in hunting for loot, donning legendary armor sets and defeating vicious enemies.

The Challenger Edition focuses on three unique modes: Lightbringer, Dreamstones, and the Ascended Tower of Trials. All three are end-game level content, but you’ll immediately be equipped with a range of deadly weapons and skill points, allowing you to team up with up to two other players in co-op.

Perfect your build and crush your enemies. Challenger Edition’s endgame co-op is compatible with all upgraded editions of Godfall and supports cross-gen play. Godfall: Challenger Edition players can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition at any time to gain access to both Godfall and Fire & Darkness campaigns.”

Mortal Shell, on the other hand, is a Dark Souls inspired adventure game with a unique twist.

Players can occupy the bodies of defeated enemies, which creates some interesting gameplay opportunities.

If you want something a little lighter, LEGO DC Super Villains is the game for you.

The LEGO DC spin-off focuses on the villains of the comic book world, with Joker, Harley Quinn and General Zod taking center stage.

“It’s good to be bad… Embark on an all-new DC Lego adventure by becoming the greatest villain the universe has seen.

Players will create and play an all-new Super Villain throughout the game, unleashing mischievous antics and wreaking havoc in an action-packed story.

Set in an open world experience in the DC universe, the Justice League has vanished, leaving the protection of Earth to their counterparts, who have proclaimed themselves the ‘Justice Syndicate’. It’s up to you and a wacky band of misfits to discover the intentions of Earth’s new, weird, wannabe superheroes.”
