PS5 UK Restock: Amazon and GAME PlayStation 5 stock drop countdown

Recent articles

As Sony fights to supply the UK with next-gen consoles, more PS5 machines are expected to hit digital shelves before the end of the week.

And the good news is that there could be at least two more restocking events held by major retailers before the end of the year.

According to the latest reports, Amazon will release new PlayStation 5 stock on Wednesday, December 15.

There’s also a chance GAME will complement the PlayStation 5 alongside the tech giant this week.

The news was shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – known for providing the best guides on what happens next.

Based on the latest information, the Amazon PS5 replenishment will start at 8am GMT, but there could be a few drawbacks.

There’s no word on how many consoles will be available, meaning the consoles could sell out very quickly.

A message from PS5 Stock UK adds: “Looks like the Amazon UK drop is due next Wednesday (8-9am).

“Their last drop was on 11/17, their biggest drop ever, so a drop was expected today. It seems that the drip drought is slowly getting started.”

The chances of a GAME stock update coming this week are less, as should have happened last week.

If something happens, it will start somewhere between December 14 and December 16 and it will start between 8am GMT and 10am GMT.

The BT Shop is also expected to sell consoles this week, starting on December 13, with no clear indication as to how much inventory will be available.

Other retailers are expected to drop shipments for the PlayStation 5 before the end of the year, but it’s unclear on what dates this could happen.

Knowing when a PS5 replenishment is due can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles their shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and not being able to complete purchases when there is a lot of site traffic. Inventory trackers recommend using the Argos mobile app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

CURRYS: Currys does not host purely digital restock events and there is no indication of when they may be offering more consoles online. The retailer chooses to sell the PlayStation 5 through its physical stores through a ticket system. Interested parties must register on the Currys PS5 page for a chance to be selected, then wait for the next shipment of consoles to arrive.

GAME: GAME is a UK store offering the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK works better under tension but still has a few kinks worth noting. Creating an account with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wish list before checking out. Amazon is expected to host its next PS5 restock on December 15.
