With the money you save on the price of a Nintendo Switch, you can spend that on the cost of a game.

Amazon has also lowered the prices of numerous Nintendo Switch games, with titles such as Pokemon Shining Pearl, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Mario Golf Super Rush all available at a discounted price.

If you haven’t bought a Switch yet, but have been thinking about getting one for a while, now is an ideal time to do so.

And not just because of this great deal Amazon is running right now, but because Nintendo has warned of impending inventory problems in 2022.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa recently warned that the global semiconductor shortage, which has had a major impact on PS5 and Xbox Series X stock levels, will also affect Switch’s offerings for the foreseeable future.

Speak with Kyoto Shimbun, Furukawa-san said: “For Nintendo Switch hardware, we have lowered our forecast by 1.50 million units to 24.00 million units. Our shipping forecast for the second half has been lowered due to the change in our production plan due to the effects of the global semiconductor industry. On the other hand, we revised the Nintendo Switch software forecast by 10.00 million units to 200.00 million units based on the sales performance of the first half.”

In the US, major retailers such as Best Buy, Target, and GameStop all sold out of the standard version of the Nintendo Switch over Christmas.

In the UK, the regular Nintendo Switch and the Switch OLED are more readily available.

However, it remains to be seen whether the inventory shortages that have hit US retailers can cross the pond and hit UK stores by 2022.

This year is going to be an exciting time to own a Nintendo Switch, with plenty of high-profile releases ahead.

The biggest of these is undoubtedly The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2, but there are plenty of other must-see games on the horizon this year.

Other Switch games launching in 2022 include Pokemon Legends Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Splatoon 3, Sonic Frontiers, Advance Wars 1+2, Bayonetta 3, Triangle Strategy, and more.
