The Steam Awards were presented on Steam. Of course there are doubles here and there with The Game Awards, because very good games are very good games.

For example, “Game of the Year” on Steam is Resident Evil Village, which was also nominated for this category at The Game Awards but fell behind It Takes Two. It Takes Two also won the co-op award (“Better with friends”) on Steam.

However, the Steam Awards and The Game Awards do not agree on one category and it is one of the most talked about titles of 2021. Cyberpunk 2077 wins, according to Steam, the prize for the “excellent game with a deep story”.

Cyberpunk 2077 wasn’t even nominated in the comparison category at The Game Awards (“Narrative”). The winner here was Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

At the same time, it must of course be said that the feelings and perceptions of PC gamers when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077 are probably different from those of console gamers. The Steam Awards are chosen by the Steam users.

Cyberpunk 2077 triumphed over fellow nominees such as Life is Strange: True Colors, Resident Evil Village, and Days Gone. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition was also nominated here. A reasonable decision?

All of them The winners of the Steam Awards can be found here.
