The Zelda Musou Crossover Hyrule Warriors: Time of Desolation for Nintendo Switch continues to be a success story for Koei Tecmo and Nintendo. The offshoot in the “Breath of the Wild” universe has long been Koei Tecmo’s most successful Musou title. Today comes now the next sales milestone: four million copies sold.
Last April, 3.7 million units were delivered and sold digitally, bringing in another 300,000 new buyers. Since then, there have been a total of two waves of DLC in June and October, providing the game with additional content and keeping it going. The renewal pass is now complete.
Just a few days ago we got an interesting and curious look at the development. The grass gave me the most headache. “It took about halfway through the development time to finish the weed in the game. We’ve really struggled to recreate the vibe of Hyrule,” said art director Yuu Oohashi.

Hyrule Warriors: Time of Desolation* lets you return to Hyrule and experience what happened 100 years before the events of “Breath of the Wild”. The fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance, threatened by the destruction of Ganon. A brave group of heroes face her in a fight for survival.
