Since the release of the 11th generation of consoles with the Playstation 5Sony is exploring the future of its virtual reality games.
With the announcement of the helmet PSVR2 and the controller PlayStation VR 2 Sense a few months ago we knew that games like this weren’t given up by Sony. We were entitled to some information here and there that we passed on in one of our articles.
Today we know a little more, in terms of performance related to this PSVR2. Do not hesitate to also consult our article on one of the first games PSVR2 announced: Horizon Call Of The Mountain.
On the graphics side, the headset offers 4k resolution, HDR, with a 110-degree field of view, all based on OLED technology. The helmet offers a resolution per eye of 2000 x 2040 with a frequency between 90/120 HZ in terms of refreshment, as well as the possibility to adjust the lenses.
There is no need for an external camera, as the tracking cameras are directly integrated and can follow you exactly.
As for immersion, we’re entitled to Tempest 3d Audio Tech technology, as well as a new feature called headphone feedback.
The latter will vibrate to let you feel the in-game interactions, such as the Dualsense’s haptic feedback.
The helmet can follow the movement of your eyes to make the interaction with your character more realistic.
With just a USB Type-C cable connected to your PS5 console, movement will be less restrictive, although a wireless headset would have been much better.
the controllers PS VR 2 Sense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are installed, just like its big sister, the Dualsense.
