Activision Blizzard was heavily criticized last year and many eventually demanded consequences. Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo found clear words and Geoff Keighley addressed a few words to the publisher at The Game Awards 2021.

But so far there has been no impact on the public. However, that changed this week at the LEGO Group. Together with Activision Blizzard, they actually wanted to release the Overwatch Titan LEGO set on February 1, 2022.

There was also loud in the LEGO community TheBrickFan all kinds of criticisms of the collaboration and LEGO is now drawing conclusions from that. The publication will initially be put on hold.

“We are currently reviewing our partnership with Activision Blizzard,” the statement said. There are concerns about the progress of the publisher’s efforts to counter accusations of misogyny and workplace culture. “We will be suspending the release of any product for Overwatch 2 until the reviews are complete,” the LEGO Group said.

It wouldn’t be the first market launch that LEGO has completely suspended. Like Stone Wars reported, a Technic set was canceled as early as 2020. Officially because it was against the company’s own policy not to manufacture military vehicles. However, the set also had a design problem at the time.
