The Rainbow Six Extraction release date is almost here on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.

The co-op shooting game has a release date of January 20 and a launch time at midnight.

To make sure you don’t miss a second of the action, you can even pre-load the game before its official launch.

This means you can jump into the action as soon as the clock strikes midnight.

In Rainbow Six Extraction, three teams try to stop an army of mutated infected.

“Team Rainbow has for decades been the shield against the worst global threats imaginable. Now we face the greatest terror ever: a deadly, mutating alien parasite,” reads the official description.

The game features a whopping 69 guns, 25 gadgets, 18 operators with progression levels, 12 dynamic maps and 13 mutating enemies.

Ubisoft will continue to support the game with free downloadable content in the coming months.

One of the more interesting features is the Rainbow Six Extraction Buddy Pass.

The Buddy Pass allows players to invite two friends to play the game for free for up to 14 days.

“Invite two friends to play Rainbow Six Extraction with you for free for 14 days, from any platform, even if they don’t own the game.”

Unfortunately, the Buddy Pass has been delayed as Ubisoft tries to reduce server stress at launch.

Players can redeem their Buddy Pass and invite friends “shortly after launch”.

Finally, to celebrate the launch of Rainbow Six Extraction, Ubisoft is hosting a special 2-hour tournament on Twitch.

“Six teams will compete against each other to push back the evolving alien threat, the Chimera parasite. Tune in to the Rainbow 6 UK Twitch channel to witness the action,” explains Ubisoft.

If you want to see how the pros do it, the tournament will take place on January 20th at 7pm UK time.

Team captains include BobDuckNWeave, Gleaney, ThatSrb2DUDE, Tianna Mercedes, Cyborg Angel, and Cadaea (pictured at the top of the page).

If you’re not sure if Extraction is the game for you, the tournament is a good chance to understand the gameplay mechanics.
