PSN down reports are on the rise these days, with PlayStation Network users reporting issues with trophies, receiving error codes and having issues with their friends list.

Independent Failure Monitor Down Detector has registered a spike in PSN down reports today.

At the time of writing, Down Detector has registered a spike of over 400 PSN downs.

According to Down Detector statistics, the vast majority of reported PSN issues are related to the PlayStation Network server connection.

So far the official PSN status website says all systems are working normally.

When the reported PSN issues hit, users took to the social networking site Twitter to talk about the issues they were facing.

One tweeted: “PSN server down”.

While another posted: “Anyone having problems with PSN on @PlayStation? I’m having problems with the friends list. Has the server gone down?”

One added: “I got this code just when I was trying to connect to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on PS4. However, the website says all services are active. #psn #psndown @AskPlayStation”.

And another wrote: “Sony needs to do something with PSN. Recently we had all PS4 trophies as PS3 and now the trophies are no longer available at all.”
