If you’re serious about making money playing video games, one title stands head and shoulders above the rest.

A PC game called DOTA 2 has made more millionaires than any other competitive video game.

That is according to a recent report compiled by gambling site OLBG, which lists the top 500 earners in eSports.

eSports is the commonly used term for playing competitive video games, which has grown in popularity enormously.

DOTA 2 – a free game that can be downloaded from Steam – dominates the top 50.

Danish gamer Johan Sundstein (aka N0tail) tops the list with a profit of £5,297,759 on DOTA 2.

Sundstein is followed by Jesse Vainikka, Anathan Pham, Sébastien Debs, and Topias Taavitsainen, who have all made over £4 million on DOTA 2.

And it’s not just DOTA 2 that has made gamers rich, with players like Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Counter Strike all earning a millionaire or two.

Kyle Giersdorf (aka Bugha) made over £3 million from Fortnite, while Peter Rasmussen made nearly £2 million from Counter Strike Global Offensive.

Call of Duty fan Ian Porter (C6) is the highest-ranked COD player, taking home £1.3 million by playing Modern Warfare.

The list also includes entries for popular titles such as PUBG, Street Fighter, StarCraft 2, and League of Legends.

This particular chart is aimed solely at competitive gamers and does not take into account the world’s biggest streamers.
