Grand Theft Auto fans may get their first taste of GTA 6 sooner rather than later. After years of speculation and rumors, Rockstar Games has finally confirmed that GTA 6 is in development, with work on the highly anticipated title “well underway”. And in the aftermath of this big reveal, a new theory has emerged that we may soon be seeing GTA 6 for the first time.

This news comes courtesy of a Twitter conversation between YouTuber TGG and Rockstar Intel reporter Ben T.

In the aftermath of the GTA 6 announcement @TGGonYT wrote: “I’m not trying to create false hope but … Rockstar announced that GTA 5 was in development on October 25, 2011.

“The first trailer for GTA 5 was on November 3, 2011.

“Rockstar announced that the next GTA was in development on February 4, 2022.

“But there is also a 50/50 chance of not hearing new information for about 12 months.”

To which Ben T replied, “Take-Two will also share its 2023/24 pipeline lineup with the May investor call. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear more sooner than we think.”

Following the timeline mentioned by TGG, there were 10 days between the announcement that GTA 5 was in development and the debut trailer that was out.

It has been confirmed that GTA 6 will be in development on Friday 4th February, so if Rockstar follows a similar schedule to GTA 5, that would mean that the first GTA 6 trailer could be released around the same time as the Super Bowl, which takes place on Sunday. February 13.

The Super Bowl collects huge audience numbers, with top-notch real estate commercials for big brands debuting huge trailers for upcoming movies, TV shows, and more.

The first ever trailer for the new Lord of the Rings show is rumored to appear in a Super Bowl commercial slot.

So, if Rockstar Games wants a large global audience for the big GTA 6 reveal, a Super Bowl reveal could be the perfect opportunity.

This, of course, remains to be seen and Rockstar may choose to reveal the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 at a later date or at a different event.

In the Rockstar Newswire post announcing that the next Grand Theft Auto was in development, the GTA makers said they can’t wait to “share more as soon as we’re ready” and that they “can’t wait to step into the future with “GTA fans.

Elsewhere, the next few months may also see another highly anticipated game revealed.

Rumors have emerged that the beloved Metal Gear Solid franchise could make a return, with Hideo Kojima’s iconic and influential 1998 PlayStation stealth adventure allegedly being redone.

Second a post on Reddit, Metal Gear Solid Remake will be a launch title for PSVR 2 and will be playable with the new PS5 virtual reality headset and without it.

It has been stated that Sony wants to make this title the “benchmark” for VR gaming across all platforms and that it will be revealed during Q2 2022 with a Q4 2022 release date alongside PSVR 2.

Rumors claim that Metal Gear Solid Remake will be a launch title for PSVR 2 (Image: SONY)

It has been claimed that Metal Gear Solid Remake will have fully interactable environments, make full use of adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, and have a modern twist in the inventory system.

The alleged leaker has claimed that raising your left hand while holding a PSVR 2 controller will allow you to equip items such as medicine while the right will be used for weapons.

In the original PS1, the DualShock buttons on the left and right shoulder were used for this.

It has also been claimed that the iconic Psycho Mantis boss has been revamped for virtual reality.

The alleged leaker said: “I can’t say much without someone at risk, nor do I have online credibility. Placed on a disposable account.

“Bluepoint was originally at the helm, but has now moved on to another support studio. Sony wants this to be the next” benchmark “for VR gaming on all platforms. It can be played completely without VR as a standalone remake. One of the earliest examples of an “AAA title that can be experienced in both VR and non-VR” that PlayStation wants to make. “

And finally, if you’re hoping for a return to Bullworth Academy, then a major insider has some good news for you.

Bully 2 is a title that, as with GTA 6, Rockstar Games fans have been asking for for some time.

Last year, fans took a look at what Bully 2 might have been like, with work on the project well ahead of it before it was canceled.

It was stated in a Game informer reports that a six- to eight-hour playable version of Bully 2 was available before the game was canceled.

Insiders said the upcoming Bully sequel, which was due to be demolished in 2010, had a world three times the size of the original, would allow players to enter every building in the game, and included a complex morality system. .

For fans who have long hoped for the Bully series to return, it’s a case of what it could have been, with the title in the works sounding extremely ambitious for the time.

This report came against a backdrop of rumors that the Bully series may still make a comeback in some shape or form in the future.

Following the reveal of GTA 6, well-known insider Tom Henderson – who revealed a load of alleged information about the next GTA game last year – was questioned whether the confirmation of the next Grand Theft Auto game meant Rockstar wasn’t doing anything. with IP Bully.

Answering the question on Twitter, the leaker – known for his Battlefield and COD leaks – wrote, “Sorry, where today’s announcement said it’s Rockstar’s next focal point? They said GTA 6 is in development.

“I’m still waiting for something to happen with the Bully series.”

Whether this is the long-awaited Bully sequel or a remaster of the original remains to be seen.

As always with rumors, it’s always best to take claims with a grain of salt until official confirmation.
