Red Candle Games is best known for Devotion and reports that the game is being censored by China. Now the Taiwanese developers have launched a new project: Nine Sols.
The developers have one crowdfunding campaign nasty Nine Sols launched, which you keep on your own website and which is already funded. But the makers also needed relatively little money. Three million Taiwan dollars sounds like a lot, but it’s only around 95,000 euros.
Nine Sols will be released for PC Steam, Mac, Nintendo and Sony consoles. Since the development and porting is between the console generations, it is not yet possible to make a precise decision. But you would already have development kits there.
New Kunlun, the last Solarian shrine, has remained silent for centuries. In this vast realm, the ancient gods bequeathed to mortals a promised land protected forever by a series of sacred rituals. But the truth about this world remains unknown to most. Everything changes when Yi, a long-forgotten hero from the past, is awakened by a human child.
Nine Sols is designed to provide fast-paced 2D action, based on classic platforming techniques and with a storyline that takes advantage of the studio experience. There is an Asian fantasy setting.
