From the restrooms at Shinra’s headquarters to the taste of chocobo popcorn to the price of a ticket to LOVELESS and a legendary boss. Square Enix bridges time until the sequel of Final Fantasy VII Remake on the Japanese Twitter account with beautiful works of art and interesting facts.
A few days ago it was Tifa’s turn. The fan favorite has certainly not become less popular with the Final Fantasy VII Remake. One or the other fan has definitely reloaded the save game for her attire at Don Corneo. There are three dresses to choose from, which you can get for Tifa through various promotions. Square Enix presented the “blue dress” (“adult dress”) in more detail.
Various works of art show Tifa in the blue dress in the development phase. Of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Footage* Ultimania has another work of art ready here, a so-called line art from an early planning phase. Unfortunately, Square Enix doesn’t show this on Twitter.
“At this point, Tifa wasn’t wearing shorts under her skirt. We added them during the 3D modeling phase and I think they were an improvement,” lead character modeler Dai Suzuki says of the line art in the book. oops? Please what? Yes, that’s what the book says.
Roberto Ferrari also speaks and explains his work. “I designed a dress that resembles the one Tifa wore in the original version. It’s a sexy dress that shows a lot of skin and has flowers at the waist.”
The other two dresses are available in the Final Fantasy VII Remake Material Ultimania* of course also comments. About the kimono (“exotic dress”), Roberto Ferrari says: “That was probably the dress from Tifa that I struggled with the most. My drafts kept getting sent back – I think I’ve had a dozen revisions or more. It’s a miracle the dress ended up being used in the game.”
There are more comments in the book about the long black dress (“sporty dress”). One is from level designer Yuri Hioki. “I remember saying to the team, ‘There isn’t one’ cheongsam without braid!’ and begged her to do it. I am very grateful for everyone’s hard work on this design.”
