Cotton Fantasy will be released in Germany on May 20, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Publisher ININ Games then brings the shoot ’em up, known in Japan as Cotton Rock ‘n’ Roll, to the West.
After Cotton Reboot, Cotton Fantasy now marks the reboot of the series with a brand new game. Six iconic characters can be played, including fan favorites from other games.
Something sinister is going on, the willows are disappearing from fairyland. The fairy queen asks the fairy Silk to visit the witch Nata de Cotton. With Willows as her favorite meal, she is ready with a lifetime supply of unlimited Willow, helping her old friend and embarking on a new adventure together.
Game-wise, you’ll want to stay true to the Cotton series, but also introduce new mechanics like Psyvariar’s buzz system or Sanvein’s time mode. A commercial version can already pre-ordered at Amazon†
