The Sonic Origins announcement was almost over when Sega came running around the corner with details and an appointment. The hatching of Sonic Origins is scheduled for June 23 on all platforms. It takes place digitally at 39.99 euros.
Included are Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD. You can then play these classics on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PCs.
Fans looking for modern adaptations of these classics will be rewarded with a widescreen mode. But you can also play classic 4:3.
Fans looking for confusing and questionable digital bonuses will also find what they are looking for. Sega offers a variety of different DLC and digital versions, each with different content. The diagram below is taken from the official website.
Different content and features are hidden in separate versions and DLC. The “hard missions” are only available in the Digital Deluxe Edition, for other things you need to pre-order and buy DLC packs. Does it have to be?
