The Bloodborne-esque Thymesia will be released in August and now offers a demo

Publisher Team17 and developer OverBorder Studio have the indie action RPG Thymesia from August 9. The publication is for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PCs, there are also German texts.

Today’s trailer shows off some of the battles, if you want to take a look there’s a demo available on Steam until May 9. Most recently it has been about dodging, parrying and elite opponents.

Inspired by Bloodborne with a twist

The project is inevitably reminiscent of Bloodborne. The scenery, the moves – dodging, waiting, attacking – a lot reminiscent of the heavy original. But Thymesia also offers its own twist. Your weapons are metamorphosed diseases.

At the center of the story is Corvus, a mysterious character. Of course he is mysterious. He is able to seize diseases from enemies and use them as weapons against them.

Perfect saves, dynamic dodges and wild offensive skills are still needed to defeat your enemies. Players can also adjust Corvus’ stats to optimize their playstyle.
