Falcom has a PlayStation 5 release of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki announced in Japan. This should be out on July 28. Publisher Clouded Leopard Entertainment is distributing it in Asia and adding a Steam release as well as Chinese and Korean lyrics. In Japan and Asia, the game was released for PS4 on September 30, 2021.
If you own the PS4 version, you can switch to the PS5 version for a token amount that is often common in Japan and take the saved data with you. The new features are 4K resolution, 60 fps and a high-speed mode. There is also an archive of information about the entire series for newcomers. Toshihiro Kondo talked about a possible Switch version a long time ago, but there are no concrete plans yet.
There is still no announcement of Kuro no Kiseki for the West, neither for PlayStation nor Steam. The Calvard saga continues in Japan this fall with The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN- for PlayStation.
Japanese fans of the Trails series will also have another chance to spend on July 28. Falcom will therefore publish a complete box for PS4 with the five games The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I to IV like Paths to reverie† In terms of price, you arrive at the equivalent of about 110 euros.
The four Cold Steel offshoots are available separately in this country, but we’ll have to wait until next year for The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie.
